Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This privacy policy applies to Comprezza, an offline-first photo compressor and converter developed by Dzynova Technologies (package: com.dzynova.comprezza). All image processing occurs locally on your device — images are never uploaded to our servers or any external service.

2. What the App Accesses

Comprezza accesses only what you explicitly allow:

  • Images you pick — single or batch selection via the system photo picker. You choose exactly which files to process.
  • Camera captures — if you choose to take a photo, this goes through the system camera app. Comprezza requests no camera permission itself.
  • Local image metadata — dimensions, format, and file size are read to display before/after stats and guide compression.
  • Compression settings — quality level, target format, and resize parameters you configure.
  • Generated temp outputs — temporary files created during processing, stored in app-private storage.
  • Local history & stats — a record of your recent compressions, stored entirely on-device.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

Comprezza is built with a privacy-first architecture. We do not collect:

  • Account information (no sign-up or login required)
  • Ads or advertising identifiers
  • Analytics or usage tracking
  • Contacts or address book data
  • Location data
  • Crash reporting data

We do not sell any personal information. ⚠️ Note: the release owner must verify this claim against the exact signed AAB before submission.

4. Sharing & Exports

  • Share — when you share a processed image, it goes through Android's system share sheet. The receiving app has its own privacy policy — we are not responsible for how third-party apps handle shared data.
  • Save to Device — individual exports are written to Pictures/Comprezza via the scoped MediaStore API. Completed batches bundled as a ZIP are saved to Downloads/Comprezza. The files are yours to manage.
  • External links — links in Settings or About screens open in your browser or an external app, which has its own data practices.

5. Storage & Retention

  • Temp files — stored in app-private storage with automatic TTL cleanup, including after failed or cancelled operations.
  • Exports — remain on your device until you delete them. We have no access to exported files.
  • History — compression history is stored locally on-device. You can clear it at any time from the app.
  • Cache & data clearing — follows your device's in-app labels for storage management.

6. Choices & Controls

  • You choose which images to process — Comprezza never accesses your gallery in the background.
  • You can delete compression history and clear the cache from within the app at any time.
  • Uninstalling the app wipes all app-private data, including temp files, history, and cache.
  • Exported files are managed through your device's standard storage controls (gallery, file manager, etc.).

7. Security

Comprezza relies on Android's platform storage controls and managed path validation to keep your data safe. While we take reasonable precautions, no system can guarantee absolute security. We recommend keeping your device updated and verifying share recipients before sending files.

8. Children's Privacy

Comprezza is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it. ⚠️ The release owner must complete Play's target-audience and Families policy declarations before submission.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves, laws change, or platform requirements shift. Material revisions will include an updated effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
